1 1/2 cup almond milk (vanilla or original- carrageenan free)
1/2 tbsp. ground flaxseed
1/2 frozen banana
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 1/2 tbsp. rolled oats*
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Optional: Sweetener of choice (honey, maple syrup, 1-2 medjool dates)
Small handful of ice
*If you do not have a powerful blender, grind the oats first in a food processor for a flour consistency. OR you can substitute with 1/2 cup plain dairy free yogurt of choice.
First blend together the almond milk, flaxseed, rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla, and sweetener on high for 1 minute. Add the banana and blueberries. Blend for 2 minutes on high. Add ice and blend for another minute or so until well mixed. Adjust taste if needed.
