Bananas help stimulate brain activity, alleviate nausea, PMS, and stress. The fiber in both the bananas and the dates will help aid your digestion and the cauliflower (strange, I know? trust me on this one) boosts the nutrition value of the smoothie but does not change the flavor!
During stress, your inflammatory responses tend to get out of hand, cauliflower has many anti-inflammatory properties that can help reverse that! Just like bananas, cauliflower can help boost your brain health and has many digestive benefits. It is a good source of choline, a B vitamin- known for its role in brain development. So, in times of stress, we often can't think straight- having this smoothie can help put your mind at ease and set you straight! (or I would like to think!!)
Add a few dashes of cinnamon to finish the smoothie off to further help in relieving bloating from stress and help regulate your blood sugar levels make this a tasty but healthy treat!
1 cup almond milk
2 medjool dates
1 tsp. vanilla (or a SMALL dash as it can have a strong taste)
1/2 cup cauliflower florets
1 1/2 frozen banana
2 tsp. ground flaxseed
1 tbsp. almond butter (optional)
2 tsp. cinnamon
2-3 ice cubes
Blend on high the almond milk, dates, cauliflower, vanilla, almond butter, flaxseed & cinnamon for 2 minutes or until the cauliflower and dates are well combined. Last, add the frozen bananas and ice. Blend for additional 2-3 minutes. Enjoy!
Replace the almond milk with water and add 1/2 cup of pineapple.
